Software Development Engineer I (SDE I)

CommerceIQ is hiring for the position of Software Development Engineer I (SDE I) in Bengaluru, Karnataka. This role offers software engineers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI platforms, scalable backend systems, and enterprise-grade products used by some of the world's most recognized brands. As a Software Development Engineer I, you will contribute to the design, development, testing, and delivery of high-quality software features within CommerceIQ's AI-powered platform. You will collaborate closely with senior engineers and product teams to build scalable and highly available systems while gaining valuable experience in enterprise software development and distributed architectures. The role offers exposure to the complete software development lifecycle, including feature design, implementation, testing, deployment, code reviews, debugging, and production support.

Developing high-quality software features and enhancements. Designing scalable and highly available backend systems. Collaborating with senior engineers on architecture discussions. Writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code. Participating in code reviews and technical discussions. Supporting design reviews and bug bash activities. Troubleshooting and resolving software defects. Working within Agile Scrum development teams. Contributing throughout the software development lifecycle. Ensuring timely and high-quality feature delivery. Taking ownership of assigned modules and features.

1–3 years of experience in web or server-side software development. Strong coding and programming skills. Excellent problem-solving abilities. Strong understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA). BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or similar disciplines. Strong Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts. Passion for building quality software products. Ability to take ownership and responsibility for deliverables. Good communication and collaboration skills. Enthusiasm for continuous learning and innovation.
