Software Engineer, Backend (Mid Level)

Instabase is hiring a Software Engineer, Backend (Mid Level) for its Bengaluru office. This role offers an incredible opportunity to work on large-scale infrastructure systems that power AI-driven products used by some of the world's largest enterprises. As a Software Engineer, Backend, you will become part of the Infrastructure Team responsible for building and maintaining the foundational systems that power the Instabase platform. You will design, develop, and optimize scalable infrastructure frameworks, cloud-native services, and platform components that simplify complexity for both developers and customers.

Designing secure, scalable, and efficient infrastructure frameworks. Developing backend systems that abstract complexity for developers and customers. Building and maintaining cloud-native services. Optimizing application performance and system scalability. Improving infrastructure cost efficiency. Creating robust management platforms for internal and external users. Enhancing reliability and operational excellence across services. Collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams. Contributing to technical architecture discussions. Supporting infrastructure modernization initiatives. Ensuring high availability and fault tolerance of systems.

BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields. 2+ years of professional software development experience. Strong Computer Science fundamentals. Experience building scalable software systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Understanding of distributed systems and backend architectures. Excellent collaboration and communication skills. Customer-focused engineering mindset. Ability to work in a fast-paced and innovative environment.
